Legacy Heights is located west of Berthoud on County Road 21. Take County Road 8 to County Road 21 and head north. Legacy Heights was started in the mid two thousands with building continuing into two thousand and fifteen. Homes in Legacy Heights are primary on two plus acre lots and are in the 2100 to 5000 plus livable square foot range.  If county living in a well kept community with excellent mountain views that is close to Berthoud, Loveland and Longmont, than Legacy Heights is a great place to call home. Legacy Heights is close to Welch Reservoir and Lonetree Reservoir which both reside in the Lonetree Wildlife Area a few minutes north of Legacy Heights on Country Road 19. Due west of Legacy Heights in the foothills is Carter Lake that allows power boats and waterskiing. Major shopping for Legacy Heights is located in Longmont and Loveland. Downtown Longmont has an array of shopping and dining establishments. On South Hover is the Village at the Peaks Mall that offers an array of shopping and dining experiences as well. Heading north to Loveland is Downtown Loveland and all its shopping and dining and the Chilson Recreation facility that offer activities for all ages. From Highway 287 (Cleveland Avenue), heading east on East 1st Street is Winona Pool with its green lounging lawn and fantastic water slide. Further east on East 1st Street is the new Loveland Sports Park across from Mountain View High School. At the Eisenhower Boulevard (Highway 34) - interstate 25 interchange is the new Promenade at Centerra shopping complex, Budweiser Events Center & The Ranch, Market Place at Centerra and the new Medical Center of the Rockies. Schools are Berthoud Elementary School, Turner Middle School and Berthoud High School.
